Aoki is a world-famous electro house musician, music producer, D.J. and music executive.
Alyssa Cortez grooms a dog at Urban Tails Grooming shop in Albany on Friday Oct. 21. Cortez, who is from Albany, started her career by going to cosmotology school but quickly decided she'd rather work with dogs than humans. She's been a groomer for five years and has worked at Urban Tails for a little over a year. Urban Tails, which is owned by Chantal Jaques, has been open since February 2020. It is located at 930 Elm Street in Albany and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Every February, competitors from every corner of Oregon and every walk of life come to meet in the ring and battle for the title Oregon Golden Gloves Champion. For some, the road to this moment is long and paved with sacrifice. But still they come; with smiles on their faces and dreams in their hearts, hoping that at the end of the night they will don the blue and gold jacket that will brand them a champion forever. The Story of an Adaptive Athlete Brandon Wood and his twin-brother, Sean Wood, were born prematurely with a condition known as cerebral palsy, or CP for short. CP is a group of disorders that affect a person's balance, and their ability to move and maintain balance and posture. Despite this condition, Brandon Wood is an athlete and has worked hard to overcome the physical challenges that CP presents on a daily basis.  Brandon Wood coaches the beginners boxing class at Ramos Boxing Club in Albany. Wood began coaching about 10 years ago and coaches beginner, advanced, and pro boxers and MMA fighters. Wood graduated from LBCC in 2004 with a degree in criminal justice and afterwards began working with troubled youth, which is what lead him to boxing. Because of the balance issues caused by Wood's CP, he has never been able to compete in either boxing or MMA, but wrestled for six years in middle and high school and trained in other combative sports.
